Welcome to Tidewater Photography!
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Tidewater Photography website. Most of my photography is “on-location”–that is, I do not do much studio photography. My photographic style is to capture the natural interactions of the subject. As such, you will not see very many of the classic posed shots in my portfolio, but I usually do include a least a few shots like that for each client. As you can see, I do enjoy taking pictures of young children (the majority of the pictures here are of my daughter, Sarah), but I love photographing families, adults and older children too.
Photography is much more of a passion for me than a job. In fact, I am an retired Naval officer with a full time job. For this reason, scheduling shoots with me can be challenging, but given enough notice, I’m sure we can find the time to get some good pictures. What that means to you is that I will never schedule more than one shoot a day. You will never feel rushed with me. RELAX! Let’s enjoy the time walking around and watching the children play. I’ll get the shots I need. If your child is in a bad mood that day and we don’t get any good smiles, we’ll reshoot. Same if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
